Yeah, I never did think about it but I can' t think of any in my immediate family that have tattoos besides me and my brother. My mom and dad don't have any. They are 61 and 62. I don't think any of their brothers or sisters have any either.

i have had this particular piece of art that i have wanted for years but was too afraid to put it to skin as it will require a great amount of detail.

What gerneration is that? I've never heard if a generation that doesn't do tattoos.
My wife says she will never get a tattoo. She says "Would you put a bumper sticker on a Ferrari?"

I got my first tattoo in October. Its the infinity symbol with my wife, and kids names intertwined in it. Unless I wear long sleeves its always out. Im thinking about getting one or both sleeves. Once you get one, you will want more. Thats what I was told and yes its true.
Its on the inside or my forearm between my wrist and elbow. Im thinkin of getting more added to it. It wasnt painful, but the one thing I wasn't prepared for was how much it ITCHED for a week.

Did you hear Jw's swear?
by highdose ini know that what counts as swearing differs alot from region to region, amongst the words i heard used were "crap, bloody, shit, git, bastard, bitch" and the dubs who used these words would say that they didn't belive they were swear words at all!.

I cussed from about the age of 5 or 6 regularly. I tried not to in front other JW’s. Once I told a kid who was a study to fu*K off. He told and I had a meeting in the back room with the elders. I was about 16 and had been baptized for a few years so I needed to be more “exemplary.”
My mom – uberJW – would call me a “little shit” when I would do something wrong and she was mad but trying to be funny in a way. She used that word a lot. I said Hell once in front of her and she flipped. I said "Hell is no where near as bad as shit." She said “Yes it is!” That’s about when I started to realize she was a bit of a hypocrite like every other JW.
I love to cuss. I won’t cuss in front of some people or at work in front of a home owner or client unless I hear them do it first. It’s a great stress reliever.

I Have never heard a Witness claim that the flood wiped all the dinosaurs away before.
My mom told me this was one of her theories. She said when the earth was made, there was soooooo much vegetation that the dino's needed to eat it down, then god may have destroyed them in the flood or perhaps just before creating Adam and Eve. I was 6 or 7 and bought into that for a number of years, until I could think for myself.
So, Im not shocked that some still entertain these theories as stupid as they sound.

New magazine Carts
by jonno12225 innews from my wife from the recent meeting is that our congregation will be recieving 2 new magazine carts for market witnessing.
we live in a small market town in north yorkshire and have regular street markets.. the congregation is small (75+ publishers, -1 now) so it seems that this is being rolled out pretty conprehensivly now to all congs.
i still have no info as to whether each congregation has to purchase these from the hq or costings per unit..

My goodness, Dazed! Can a cross be photoshopped into that picture? I'm thinking to the left of his window...
Lol... maybe he's an atheist
Just Lois - I was good at the initial knock. I had a specially tailored presentation that did not leave an opening for a RV return visit (TM). I would never place WT or Awake. Only the small tracks. I read a scripture and asked if they'd like to read it. If they did, I would leave saying have a good day. I droped years ago the part where I said "Can I come back in a week or 2 and see if you had any questions?" I almost never would come back...
It was the return visits that I HATED. I never had any desire to work something up. But when we HAD to go out, my favorite days were when we did RV's... "Does anyone have any RV's they'd like to do"? I always said I didn't have one but I was working on it.
I was however comfortable with talking "informally" (TM) with people at work or school about the troof...

2013 Yearbook of JWs - Weird Cover Photo!
by 00DAD inok, can someone please tell me, what in the world do these women have on their faces???.
i couldn't find that it said where this was taken, but i'm guessing it's in myanmar as that is the featured country in the yearbook.
for context, here's a scan of the entire cover:.

Thanaka - A Distinctive Feature of Myanmar: The remarkably smooth skin of Burmese women is one of these traditions. Thanaka is a yellowish-white cosmetic paste made from ground bark. It is a distinctive feature of Myanmar seen commonly applied to the face and sometimes the arms of women and girls.
I'm surprised the JW women are wearing it. You know there's gotta' be some pagan origin to this!!! You would think.....
